Since the 1.7 update, and the addition of pistons, ive been finding ways to use them in traps.
This, is such a trap. My next revsion of this trap will have an obsidian frame, but for the sake of design prototyping, i just used cobblestone. When you step on the pressure plate, this happens: The TNT attached to a sticky piston extends, bumping a redstone torch on the opposite side of the wall. combined with a iron door and a one way pressure plate, this trap could do some damage. :)

Finite Liquid

Thanks. :)
Finite Liquid is a Modification for Minecraft single player, that adds several things to game play.
The Creator, IGN djoslin said this:
"The water physics in Minecraft have always bugged me. But I understand why it was put in place the way it is. But I've developed an alternative, more realistic, water physics system for Minecraft. Now with FiniteLiquid v2 installed, all of the water created by the map generator will be replaced. Oceans have an 'infinite' amount of water, this is necessary for your computer to run it. Any water disconnected from the ocean and low in mass will be finite and react to changes in volume. If you break a border wall in between the lake and a cave, the lake will flood downward and drain out. I've also developed pipes and pumps to interact with the liquid further. You can place pipes that will suck up liquid when the pump is activated; with a right click or redstone input. Iron blocks can now be heated up, which will evaporate water above it. You can obtain the old minecraft water by mixing three redstone and 1 gold in a block of water. Old minecraft lava is mixed with three redstone and 1 diamond in heated water. This is only the second version, I have many ideas I plan to add to the mod so stay tuned. "
This. Mod. Is. AWESOME. Ive spent 60 + hours testing it myself.
I First downloaded it a few weeks ago, installing first the two required mods before Finite water could be installed. a great addition to FiniteWater, is Single Player Commands with World Edit. if you dont have it, I recommend getting it.
Finite Water adds several ways to interact with the world around you. Water in lakes and smaller bodies of water can be drained away and or stored using pipes and pumps for transportation over great distances, to make water gathering easy for farming or other purposes.
I expected a lot of lag from my computer, (Dual 3.6 GHz processors with 2 GB ram and Nvidia 8600 GT Graphics Card) But the Mod preforms flawlessly, with very little lag.
If you love Minecraft, Download this mod. if you don't, Download it anyway. Maybe it'll change your perspective about the game as a whole.
