Minecraft Mod: Tekkit!

Welcome, Fellow MineCrafters, to Tekkit!

I've spent a fair share of my last few weeks exploring this awesome mod for Minecraft. Needless to say It is very addicting. What you are looking at in the above picture, is a automated mining rig that automatically mines a decently sized hole in the ground, all the way from the surface to bedrock, and place the blocks in chests, using a mildly complex system of motors and piping.

What you see here is a engine (bottom left) powering a Pump (block with green pixels) that supplies water to this:

The block that the cobblestone is coming from, is the Quarry.
A single quarry can pump out possibly thousands of blocks, when set up at higher elevations.

The resources you mine can be automatically sent to crafting tables, where a finished product can be output to a chest for you're use. (useful, aye?)
If you're hooked,  check out the Tekkit Wiki,
and get a feel for how things work,
And then:

The Tekkit Launcher is a Standalone mod that saves its files in a seperate folder
(located near your .minecraft folder)

Have Fun. :D
